Making Every Hour Count

Young people spend 80% of their waking hours outside of school.

We’re making those hours count.

Our Purpose

Every Hour Counts is a national network of cities and regions that is leading a movement to expand learning beyond school so that all young people can thrive.

Profoundly committed to equity, our network expands access to experiences that bring young people joy and community, build their skills and resilience, and prepare them for adulthood.

PUTTING DATA TO WORK FOR YOUNG PEOPLE: A FRAMEWORK FOR MEASUREMENT, CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT, AND EQUITABLE SYSTEMS

We cannot assess our progress, improve our efforts, or demonstrate success without data. We support our members to collect and use data wisely Our measurement framework is an at-a-glance reference designed to help afterschool system leaders think through their data needs, plan for data collection and use, and carry out those plans.

Powered by Youth Voice

Youth have powerful things to say about the experiences that will support their wellbeing and growth.  Our Powered by Youth Voice initiative Powered by Youth Voice centers youth voice and leadership to advance new directions for the afterschool field driven by a national youth survey, local youth planning teams, capacity-building, and youth convenings. As a network, we seek to identify, model, and share practices that give young people agency and engage them authentically in the design and leadership of programs, systems, and advocacy.
